1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Speaklu, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Speaklu.
• If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
• You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Service.

3. Description of the Service

Speaklu provides:

• Real-time voice translation across 100+ languages and dialects
• Two-way live conversation mode with automatic language detection
• Live translated subtitles for videos on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
• Speech-to-text and text-to-speech features

Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time without prior notice.

4. Translation Accuracy Disclaimer

• Speaklu provides AI-generated translations and is not a substitute for a certified human translator or interpreter.
• All translations, transcriptions, and subtitles are automated approximations and may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations.
• Accuracy may vary based on accent, background noise, language pair, audio quality, and context.
• The Service is not intended for use in legal, medical, emergency, or other critical situations where translation errors could cause harm.
• You are solely responsible for verifying critical information with a qualified human translator before relying on it.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
• Record, translate, or transmit the voice of another person without their lawful consent
• Submit content that is illegal, hateful, threatening, defamatory, or sexually explicit
• Use the Service to harass, impersonate, or defame any person or organization
• Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service
• Circumvent security features or interfere with normal operation of the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers without our written permission

6. Voice Data & User Content

• You retain ownership of the voice recordings, transcriptions, and translations you create through the Service ("User Content").
• By submitting User Content, you grant Speaklu a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process, store, and analyze it for the sole purpose of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service.
• You represent that you have the legal right to record and submit any voice or content provided to the Service.
• How we handle this data is described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Free Trials

• Some features of Speaklu require a paid subscription.
• Payments are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or other authorized platforms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your platform account settings.
• Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Refunds are governed by the policies of the platform through which you purchased.

8. Intellectual Property

• The Speaklu name, logo, app, design, and underlying technology are owned by Speaklu and protected by intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit any part of the Service without our prior written permission.
• All rights not expressly granted to you in these Terms are reserved by Speaklu.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or link to third-party services (such as speech recognition providers, app stores, or video platforms). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or availability of those third-party services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

• The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses.
• We do not warrant that translations or subtitles will be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speaklu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Speaklu in the 12 months prior to the claim, or (b) USD $100.

12. Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app from your device.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or our website. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply.
